Political and National Figures Featured in KP Plate Auction

ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) – The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has announced the auction of fancy number plates featuring the names of prominent political and national figures, including President Arif Alvi, former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, and PTI founder Imran Khan.

According to KP Minister for Excise and Taxation, Fakhar Zaman, the auction will take place on January 27, 2026, at Nishter Hall in Peshawar. The bidding will start at PKR 1 million, and the highest bidder will be allocated a number plate with their chosen political or national personality’s name.

Fakhar Zaman added that additional number plates honoring other national leaders, well-known personalities, different regions, and nations will also be included in the phased auction. He noted that vehicle owners are showing strong interest in this initiative, which is expected to generate significant revenue for the national treasury.

The KP Excise and Taxation Department has officially issued an advertisement regarding the auction. Citizens interested in participating can submit applications through the Dastak app, with the last date for submission set for January 26, 2026.
