PESHAWAR (Web Desk) – Sohail Afridi has been officially nominated in connection with the May 9 attack on Radio Pakistan, the Peshawar Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) confirmed.

During the hearing, the investigation officer submitted the challan (charge sheet) to the court. Alongside CM Afridi, former provincial ministers Taimur Saleem Jhagra, Irfan Saleem, and Aamir Chamkani were also nominated in the case.

The investigation officer stated that the nominations were based on forensic findings from the Punjab Forensic Laboratory and NADRA reports. However, the prosecutor refused to accept the challan, leading the ATC to summon the Special Public Prosecutor for further proceedings.

The case remains under judicial review as the court examines the submissions and prepares for the next hearing.
