KP finance minister asks opposition for a positive talk on upcoming budget
KPK: KP Assembly to present budget on May 25 before federal govt. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has announced to present the budget for the coming financial year on May 25 before the federal government.
For the first time in history, PTI-backed SIC Aftab Alam will present the provincial budget before the federal government.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Finance Minister said that the opposition should talk positively instead of criticizing the upcoming budget.
A session of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly was held under the chair of Speaker Babar Saleem Swati.
The provincial assembly passed a resolution paying homage to the President of Iran and offered condolence to the Iranian people.
PPP lawmaker Ahmed Karim Kundi submitted the resolution to pay tribute to the late Iranian President who lost his life in a plane crash en route Tabraiz after inaugurating dam near the Azaerbijan border.
The provincial assembly session has been adjourned for an indefinite period.

Federal Govt to present budget 2024-25 on June 7
The federal government will present the budget for the next financial year 2024-25 in the National Assembly on June 7.
The budget session will start on June 6, and Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb will present the budget the following day.
The budget will also be laid in the Senate on June 7. The Senate will discuss the budget and prepare recommendations within 14 days, as stipulated by rule 130 of the Rule of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Senate 2012.
After the budget presentation, the Speaker of the National Assembly will adjourn the House for two days, resuming on Monday to start discussions on the budget.
