Khamenei warns US against imposing war on Iran

Iran Supreme Leader says US war would trigger regional conflict

TEHRAN: (Web Desk) – Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has warned the United States that any attempt to impose war on Iran would turn the conflict into a regional war.

Addressing a large public gathering in Tehran, Ayatollah Khamenei said that US threats of war, including references to fighter jets and naval forces, were nothing new. He noted that Washington had repeatedly claimed in the past that “all options are on the table,” including the option of war.

He said the Iranian nation is not intimidated by threats and reiterated that Iran would not initiate a war. However, he warned that any attack or act of intimidation against Iran would be met with a strong and decisive response.

The Supreme Leader stressed that the United States must accept the reality that if a war were to break out, it would not remain limited but would engulf the entire region.

Iran Signals Progress in Talks as Tensions Remain

Ayatollah Khamenei said Iran possesses valuable assets such as oil, gas, rich mineral resources, and a highly strategic geographical location, which have long attracted the attention of greedy powers. He added that for more than three decades, the United States sought to control Iran’s resources, politics, security, and foreign policy, but its influence has now diminished. He accused Washington of attempting to restore dominance reminiscent of the Pahlavi era.

He maintained that the real conflict revolves around Iran’s independence and resistance to global powers, while claims related to human rights and other issues are merely pretexts. He expressed confidence that Iran would continue to stand firm and, with God’s help, thwart the conspiracies of its enemies.

The Supreme Leader also described recent unrest in Iran as a foreign-backed conspiracy, alleging that its roots lay in the United States and Israel. He claimed that the organizers of the unrest received training and financial support from abroad, while some young people were misled.
