Katcha Bandits Abduct Eight, Including Women, Lured by Fake Marriage Proposals
In Shikarpur, Pakistan, eight individuals, including four women, have been kidnapped by bandits after being lured with a fraudulent marriage proposal.
The victims, all residents of Micro Colony in Sukkur, were invited to the remote “katcha area” of Napur Kot under the guise of meeting a prospective bride. However, upon their arrival, they were seized by the criminals.
Police believe the bandits employed the marriage ruse as a deceptive strategy to draw the victims to a secluded area where they could be easily abducted.
This incident follows closely on the heels of a recent attack in Rahim Yar Khan, where 12 police officers lost their lives and seven others sustained injuries in an ambush orchestrated by bandits.
