Kashmir PM Slams Indian Supreme Court Decision on Article 370

Muzafarabad(Shoaib Mehmood)_ Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwar Haq has strongly condemned the Indian Supreme Court’s decision on Article 370, calling it a blatant violation of Kashmiri rights and an attempt to suppress their demand for self-determination.
During a TV program, the Prime Minister asserted that Kashmiris had already rejected India’s illegal actions on August 5, 2019, and had no faith in the Indian judiciary. He accused the Supreme Court of being a “subordinate body of the government” and criticized its track record in cases related to Kashmiris and Muslims, citing the judicial killing of Afzal Guru and the Babri Masjid verdict as examples.
Prime Minister Haq declared that the fascist Modi government could not deprive Kashmiris of their birthright through biased court decisions. He expressed unwavering support for the struggle of Kashmiris and vowed to continue the fight for their right to self-determination under the banner of Tehreek Azadi Base Camp.
He called out to the international community, urging them to take steps to hold India accountable for its actions and provide justice to the oppressed Kashmiris. He reminded them that the issue of Kashmir remained on the UN agenda and India had no right to usurp their right to self-determination.
Responding to a question, the Prime Minister revealed that the Kashmiri leadership was consulting with international law experts to explore legal avenues to challenge the biased decision. He also announced a special session of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly to discuss the matter.
He noted the widespread protests taking place across Azad Kashmir and among Kashmiris living abroad, demonstrating their rejection of the decision. He also pledged to raise the issue at international forums, including the United Nations, highlighting India’s failure to recognize the internationally recognized disputed status of Jammu and Kashmir.
Concluding his statement, the Prime Minister emphasized that the Indian Supreme Court’s decision had failed to extinguish the spirit of the Kashmiri people. He reiterated their unwavering resolve to continue their struggle for self-determination, no matter the obstacles they might face. He condemned the barbaric treatment of Muslims in India and denounced the decision as fake and bogus.
