The Karachi commissioner has imposed a ban on all demonstrations, processions, rallies, and gatherings for two days, specifically today (Friday) and tomorrow (Saturday), under section 144.
Authorities in Karachi have released a notification detailing this ban.
According to the commissioner’s notification, all forms of gatherings are prohibited on October 18th and 19th, and assemblies of more than five people are not allowed. This decision was made at the request of the Additional IG Karachi.
Following this notification, the Karachi police are empowered to take action against anyone who violates the ban.
