Karachi-Karachi Man Sentenced to Nine Years for Blackmailing Wife with Explicit Photos. In Karachi East, a Judicial Magistrate has sentenced Faizan to nine years in prison for the crime of sharing explicit photographs of his wife and blackmailing her. The prosecution revealed that Faizan sent indecent photos of his wife to her brother via WhatsApp and used them to extort money.
The court also imposed a fine of Rs90,000 on Faizan. The case began when the wife’s brother lodged a complaint with the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), leading to Faizan’s arrest and the confiscation of his mobile phone, which contained the inappropriate images.

The wife testified about the couple’s marriage in 2019 and described instances of physical abuse and financial extortion by Faizan. In response, Faizan’s lawyer claimed that the phone had been misused. However, the court found no supporting evidence or witnesses from Faizan’s side. The judge noted that Faizan’s actions had seriously damaged the reputation of the complainant and her family. Faizan was sentenced under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA).
