Karachi Kings Defeat Multan Sultans in Thrilling PSL 10 Match
Vince and Khushdil Stabilize Innings with Crucial Partnership
Karachi: In a high-scoring and thrilling encounter, Karachi Kings triumphed over Multan Sultans in the third match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10, held at the National Stadium in Karachi.
Karachi Kings won the toss and opted to field first. Multan Sultans took full advantage of the opportunity, posting an imposing total of 234 runs in their allotted overs. Captain Mohammad Rizwan led from the front with a magnificent unbeaten 105 runs, smashing 5 sixes and 9 fours. He also registered the first century of PSL 10.
Opener Shai Hope was dismissed early for 8 runs off Hasan Ali, while Usman Khan and Kamran Ghulam contributed 19 and 36 runs respectively. Michael Bracewell supported Rizwan with an unbeaten 44.
In reply, Karachi Kings had a shaky start. David Warner scored only 12 runs, and Tim Seifert managed 32 before being dismissed. Shan Masood was out on the very first ball, while Arafat Minhas added just 10 runs before heading back to the pavilion.
However, James Vince and Khushdil Shah provided a much-needed partnership during a tense period. Vince was exceptional, scoring a stunning century off 42 balls, including 4 sixes and 14 fours. He was run out after adding one more run post-century. Shortly after, Khushdil Shah was bowled out by Akif Javed for a solid 60 off 38 balls.

Irfan Khan (5*) and Abbas Afridi (9*) remained not out at the end, with Abbas hitting a decisive six in the final over to seal victory for Karachi Kings.
On the bowling front, Hasan Ali, Khushdil Shah, and Irfan Khan each took a wicket for Karachi.
Speaking after the toss, Karachi Kings’ captain David Warner remarked on the unusually grassy pitch in Karachi, noting it was the first time he had seen so much grass on the surface there.
Multan Sultans’ captain Mohammad Rizwan had earlier pledged to donate PKR 100,000 for every six hit in the match to Palestinian children, adding a heartwarming touch to an already exciting contest.
With this win, Karachi Kings marked a strong start to their PSL 10 campaign, while Multan Sultans showed their potential with a powerful batting display.
