Karachi Court Adjourns Rajab Butt Blasphemy Case
Rajab Butt’s Blasphemy Case in Karachi Adjourned Until February
KARACHI: (Web Desk) – A Karachi court on Tuesday adjourned proceedings in the blasphemy case against social media personality Rajab Butt until February 10. The accused, currently out on interim bail, did not appear in court as his lawyer, Mian Ali Ashfaq, was away performing Umrah.
The court approved the request to excuse Butt’s absence and rescheduled the hearing. The case, registered at Hyderi Market police station, has seen multiple legal developments in the past year, including incidents involving assault, cybercrime allegations, and possession of an undocumented lion cub.

Last month, Rajab Butt was reportedly assaulted in court by a lawyer, with police investigating and reviewing CCTV footage. Authorities have also previously registered cases against him for allegedly promoting online gambling apps and causing a “religious stir” through his perfume brand, which critics claimed mocked Pakistan’s blasphemy law.
