Kalat Terrorist Attacks
Multiple coordinated assaults on a tribal leader's home, toll plaza, hotel, and hospital leave 10 dead and several injured.
Kalat experienced a series of terrorist attacks late last night, targeting multiple locations, including a tribal leader’s residence, a toll plaza, a hotel, and a hospital. The coordinated assaults claimed 10 lives and left several others injured.
Law enforcement officials reported that the attacks began with an assault on the tribal leader’s home, followed by strikes on the toll plaza, a nearby hotel, and the hospital. Security forces quickly responded, resulting in a fierce exchange of gunfire with the attackers.
During the confrontation, four Levies personnel and a police officer were killed. Sadly, five civilians also lost their lives in the crossfire.
Kalat SSP Dostain Dashti confirmed that several individuals were injured in the attacks and were taken to local hospitals for treatment. The terrorists managed to escape after the gunfight, and a search operation is currently underway to capture them.
Authorities have ramped up security in the area, and tensions remain high as the search operation continues. The attacks have led to widespread concern and condemnation, with local leaders demanding swift justice for the perpetrators.
Earlier in the day, terrorists ambushed a passenger bus in the Rarasham area of Musakhel, Balochistan, killing 23 people in a brutal firing incident.
The attackers stopped vehicles on the national highway, checking passengers’ identity cards before shooting them. A large contingent of Levies and police quickly arrived at the scene. According to Balochistan Levies officials, the victims’ bodies were transported to local hospitals.
