Islamabad_Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar pledged on Friday fairness and equal opportunities for all parties in the upcoming general elections.
In an interview with a private channel, Mr Kakar assured that all political parties will have an equal chance in the upcoming general elections.
Furthermore, the interim premier emphasised that the election date is set by the Election Commission, and consultation is essential.
“No political party has been prevented from holding meetings, as long as they adhere to the law,” added Mr Kakar.
He said it was impossible to get riddance once “you get implicated in an FIR (first information report), without going through the legal process”.
Asked about the action against those involved in the said crimes, Prime Minister Kakar said it was a challenge due to the lack of evidence admissible in the court. However, the situation could be addressed through necessary legal amendments, he remarked.
Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar on Friday directed the formulation of a comprehensive policy for the appointment of competent civil servants in remote areas of the country including Balochistan.
He also ordered the restoration of rotation policy of civil servants in line with its original spirit and to ensure its strict implementation.The prime minister was chairing a meeting to review progress on filling up vacant seats reserved for marginalized areas in civil bureaucracy through special examinations as well as rotation policy.
PM Kakar directed to regularly hold the competitive examinations to fill the vacant seats in civil bureaucracy reserved for minorities and people from marginalized areas.
Anwaarul Haq Kakar has strongly condemned the Dera Ismail Khan terrorist attack that claimed lives of at least five people and wounded 21 others, including policemen.
In a message released here Friday, the prime minister expressed deep sorrow and grief over the martyrdom of innocent citizens in the blast.
Kakar prayed for the departed souls and the bereaved families to bear this loss with equanimity. He also instructed the authorities concerned to provide the best medical facilities to the injured persons.
The prime minister stated that the war against terrorists would continue until the eradication of the scourge of terrorism from the country.
“Thanks to the sacrifices of the law enforcement agencies, we have been thwarting the evil intentions of these terrorists,” he added.
