Doha: In a proud moment for Pakistan, Raja Atif Raza of Kahuta has been awarded the prestigious “Award of Excellence” by the Government of Qatar and FIFA President Gianni Infantino in recognition of his outstanding volunteer service during the FIFA Arab Cup 2025.
The award was presented at a special ceremony celebrating exceptional contributions by volunteers who played a key role in the successful organization of the tournament. Raja was honoured for his exemplary performance in Workforce Management, where his leadership, coordination, and logistical expertise significantly contributed to the smooth execution of the event.
A seasoned international sports volunteer, Raja Atif Raza has consistently represented Pakistan with distinction on the world stage. He previously served at the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and the AFC Asian Cup 2023, earning recognition and awards at both tournaments for his dedication and professionalism.
Speaking on the occasion, Raja expressed gratitude and pride, saying:
“Receiving this honour from Qatar and FIFA is deeply meaningful. It goes beyond personal achievement and represents pride for my hometown Kahuta and for Pakistan. Every time I serve as a volunteer at these global events, I carry my country in my heart.”
Mr. Raja Atif Raza is the son of the late Dr. Raja Mehrban Hussain, a respected leader from Kahuta. Based in Qatar, he is a professional associated with Qatar Airways and frequently travels internationally in connection with major global events.
This latest recognition further cements Mr. Raja’s role as a cultural ambassador for Pakistan, highlighting the positive contributions of Pakistanis abroad.
