ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court Judge Jamal Khan Mandokhail has emphasized that continuous learning is essential for sharpening judicial skills and broadening perspective. He expressed these views at the certificate-awarding ceremony marking the conclusion of a week-long training for civil judges and judicial magistrates from across Pakistan at the Federal Judicial Academy on Saturday.
He said that lifelong learning is a core principle of the judiciary, adding that judges learn from every new case and from one another. He urged young judicial officers to adopt a habit of continuous learning to remain competent, deliver fair decisions, and uphold the rule of law in a rapidly changing world.
Highlighting the importance of courage and integrity, Justice Mandokhail advised the participants to maintain strong moral conduct. He said judges must demonstrate boldness, avoid justifying mistakes, and always stand up for the rule of law. Decisions, he stressed, must be based strictly on law rather than personal interest, prejudice, or external pressure. He reminded judges to honor their oath of office and uphold the Constitution at all times.
