JUI-F Leader Supports Nationwide Strike on August 28

Maulana Fazlur Rehman, the leader of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F), has publicly voiced strong support for the nationwide traders’ strike scheduled for August 28 (Wednesday). He criticized the current economic situation, stating that “inflation and illegal taxes have devastated the lives of the people.”

Fazl accused the government of imposing measures dictated by the IMF, which he claimed have severely impacted the financial well-being of ordinary citizens. He argued that the recent budget has deprived people of their essential resources, further exacerbating their hardships.

He assured that JUI-F workers will contribute to making the strike peaceful and effective. The party’s endorsement aims to amplify the protest against the rising economic difficulties and tax policies affecting traders and the general populace.
