Punjab Government Prioritizes Journalists’ Welfare, Ensures Early Completion of Colony Phase II

Punjab Information And Culture Secretary Syed Tahir Raza Hamdani Visits Lahore Press Club

 

Lahore() Punjab Secretary for Information and Culture, Syed Tahir Raza Hamdani, paid an official visit to the Lahore Press Club, where he met President Lahore Press Club Arshad Ansari along with other senior office-bearers.

 

During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on professional journalism matters, challenges faced by the media, and issues of mutual interest. Special focus was placed on the problems being faced by the journalist community, particularly the construction and development work of Journalists Colony Phase II and the need for its early completion.

The journalist representatives apprised the Secretary of the difficulties faced by the community and emphasized the importance of timely completion of Phase II. It was also decided during the meeting that journalists would be facilitated with an early visit to Journalists Colony Phase II to practically review the ongoing development work.

 

On the occasion, Secretary Information and Culture Punjab Syed Tahir Raza Hamdani stated that the Punjab Government is taking the welfare of the journalist community very seriously. He informed that Punjab Information Minister Azma Bokhari is personally taking a keen interest in the early completion of Journalists Colony Phase II and is herself supervising the progress of the project.

 

He further clarified that the timely completion of Journalists Colony Phase II is among the top priorities of the Punjab Government, and all available resources are being utilized to ensure the provision of improved residential facilities to journalists.
