Joint Police & Security Forces Operation Ends in Lakki Marwat, Terrorists Neutralized

Two terrorists were neutralized during the operation, while three others sustained injuries.

Peshawar: A joint operation by security forces and police in Lakki Marwat concluded after 36 hours, with two terrorists neutralized and three others reported injured.

According to details, the operation initiated at 8:00 PM on the night of May 10th, targeting the presence of terrorists in the bordering mountainous regions of Lucky Marwat, including Wandha Zarif Wala and Sheikh Badin. After continuing for 36 hours, the operation successfully came to an end.

During the joint operation, terrorists engaged police and security forces in gunfire. The law enforcement agencies cordoned off the area and conducted a thorough search operation, which lasted for two days.

Two terrorists were neutralized during the operation, while three others sustained injuries. The search operation is ongoing to apprehend the injured terrorists.

It is noteworthy that the slain terrorists were involved in target killings, extortion, bombings, and attacks on police. The police have seized a significant quantity of weapons, ammunition, and explosives from the eliminated terrorists. Both terrorists had affiliations with the proscribed organization TTP.

On this occasion, the DPO Lucky Marwat stated that actions against the miscreants would continue unabated.

The successful joint operation underscores the commitment of law enforcement agencies to combat terrorism and maintain peace and stability in the region.
