Sports News Desk: Jannik Sinner dominates Medvedev. Sinner’s relentless performance showcased a display of power and skill, leaving Medvedev no room for recovery. Despite Medvedev’s clinching victory over Sinner in last year’s Miami final, this time, Sinner’s dominance was undeniable.
From the onset, Sinner seized control, breaking Medvedev’s serve early in the match. His precision and vigour kept Medvedev on the defensive, leading to a first-set rout in just 33 minutes. The second set mirrored the first, with Sinner’s aggressive play leaving Medvedev struggling to keep pace.
Reflecting on his victory, Sinner acknowledged Medvedev’s uncharacteristic errors, emphasising his own confidence and comfort on the court. “I felt great out there today,” he remarked, noting Medvedev’s unexpected struggles.
Sinner’s evolution as a player was evident in his commanding performance, marking his fifth consecutive win against Medvedev. “I’m a different player now,” Sinner asserted, signalling his growth since their previous encounters.
In contrast, Medvedev conceded to Sinner’s superiority, admitting, “He played well. I didn’t play well enough.” His candid assessment highlighted Sinner’s mastery on the court.
Meanwhile, the second semi-final between Dimitrov and Alexander Zverev was a tightly contested battle, punctuated by decisive moments. Dimitrov’s strategic approach and relentless energy propelled him to victory, clinching a spot in the final.
