Jailed leaders urge party to postpone all protests

PTI leaders urge party to pause protests, focus on grassroots, address national issues, and support founder during Ramazan.

PTI – (WEb Desk) – Senior Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders, including Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Dr. Yasmeen Rashid, Ejaz Chaudhary, Umar Sarfraz Cheema, and Mian Mehmoodur Rashid, have called on the party to pause all protest activities during the holy month of Ramazan.

In a joint letter sent from Kot Lakhpat Jail in Lahore to the media, the leaders urged the party’s top officials to temporarily defer any agitation or demonstrations. They also strongly criticized President Asif Ali Zardari for his remarks against PTI’s founder.

The letter stated that “PTI founder serving his jail term in an honourable manner”. They asked the federal government to stop politicizing the health of Imran Khan.

They urged the government to start treatment of PTI’s founder’s eyes after getting permission from his sisters and personal doctors.

They said, “We need to take the organization to the grassroots level for local government elections in our country.”

Increasing terrorism in the country, rising inflation, unemployment, children dropping out of schools, and corruption should be highlighted everywhere.
