ITU Digital Inclusion week Held in Islamabad, Pakistan

Islamabad_Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication, Pakistan (MoITT), and the International Telecommunication Union (United Nations) held the conference on 12-13 December November 2022 at Islamabad Serena Hotel, Pakistan.
Purpose and aim of this conference were to bring the education, awareness, and activism dedicated to address the disparities in digital access. Digital inclusion aims to bring board band and internet access to all while making sure we have appropriate devices available and conduct more trainings for bring more awareness to all.
“While cybersecurity awareness cannot solve cybercrime, society today realize its importance in mitigating potential risks, and it’s shared responsibility for all network participants to maintain a safe and clean network space.” Added by one of Huawei Pakistan attendees.
There were 3 major points discussed during the conference including Girls in OCT day Pakistan 2022, Accessible cybersecurity for all and child online protection. Various organization join the 2-day session where multiple challenges and their solutions were discussed. This event was attended by representatives from Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication, Pakistan (MoITT), International Telecommunication Union (United Nations) (ITU), Australian High Commission, Members of the National Assembly, SAPM on Youth Affairs, Chamber of Commerce, GSMA, Huawei, Telenor, Jazz, NADRA, Universal Service Fund, Meta etc. All stake holder and partners gave the commitment to work over the discussed topic and find solutions to raised issues.
