ISSI strengthens ties with Italian Counterpart Ce.S.I.

ISLAMABAD- Staff Reporter): The Centre for Strategic Perspectives (CSP) at the Institute of Strategic Studies Islamabad (ISSI) recently played host to Andrea Margelleti, President of the Centre for International Studies (Ce.S.I.), Italy, in a highly productive in-house session.
The meeting convened key representatives from both institutions, with attendees including Director General ISSI Ambassador Sohail Mahmood, the Director and Research team of CSP, and members of the Italian mission in Pakistan. The discussions revolved around critical global and regional developments, with a specific emphasis on the enduring and robust nature of Pakistan-Italy relations.
The exchange covered a range of topics, including security issues in Europe, Ukraine, developments in the Asia-Pacific region, the Middle East’s post-October 7, 2023 scenario, regional stability in South Asia, post-August 2021 Afghanistan, and recent events in West Asia. Both sides acknowledged the steady expansion of the bilateral relationship across various domains.
The dialogue underscored the shared commitment of ISSI and Ce.S.I. to actively contribute to mutual understanding on issues related to global peace and stability.
