Tel Aviv — Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has endorsed U.S. President Donald Trump’s announcement of a ceasefire with Iran, stating that Israel agrees to the proposed truce but will respond decisively to any violations.

According to the British news agency Reuters, Netanyahu emphasized that while Israel supports the ceasefire initiative, any breach of the agreement by Iran will be met with a strong response.

Earlier, President Trump announced on social media that a ceasefire had officially begun and urged both parties to honor the agreement and refrain from any violations.
