Israel claims crushing Iran nuclear and missile programs
Netanyahu says Israel crushed Iran nuclear and missile capabilities
ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) – Benjamin Netanyahu stated on Saturday that the joint military efforts by the United States and Israel had effectively dismantled Iran’s nuclear and missile capabilities. He described the campaign as a major strategic success against Iran.
His remarks came as American and Iranian officials engaged in direct negotiations in Pakistan, aiming to bring an end to the ongoing regional conflict. According to Iranian state media, further discussions were expected within the next day.
Netanyahu emphasized that Iran’s nuclear infrastructure had been entirely neutralized, claiming that no operational enrichment facilities remain. He added that the country’s missile production capacity has also been significantly reduced, though some stockpiles still exist.
He linked the escalation to intelligence reports suggesting that Ali Khamenei had attempted to expand nuclear and missile programs even after earlier strikes in June 2025. Netanyahu said Israel acted decisively to prevent these developments, including targeting deeply buried facilities.

According to him, the campaign has weakened Iran’s leadership and its regional influence, pushing it toward seeking a ceasefire. He framed the situation as a reversal of long-standing threats against Israel.
On the Lebanon front, Netanyahu revealed that Lebanon had initiated contact for potential peace talks. However, he set clear conditions: disarmament of Hezbollah and a lasting peace agreement.
Meanwhile, violence has intensified along the Israel-Lebanon border since early March. Israeli strikes have reportedly resulted in significant casualties in Lebanon, including civilians and medical workers, according to local authorities.
Despite the government’s stance, opposition is growing domestically. Hundreds of protesters gathered in Tel Aviv, criticizing the continuation of military actions and expressing concerns over prolonged conflict. Demonstrators accused Netanyahu of undermining ceasefire efforts and prolonging instability in the region.
