Islamabad United ease to victory over Lahore Qalandars in PSL 11
Conway and Faiq shine as United chase down 101 with ease. Qalandars bowled out for 100 as Green and Shadab run through the lineup.
Lahore Qalandars – Islamabad United made the chase look easy. They needed 101 runs and lost only one wicket in the first 11 overs. Devon Conway was the reason for that.
It started a little shakily though. Opener Sameer Minhas got out for just 5 runs off 8 balls. Shaheen Afridi got him on the very first ball of the third over.
After that, Conway joined forces with Mohammad Faiq and the two just took over. By the sixth over, United had crossed 50. The pair kept things calm and collected. They hit boundaries regularly, put the Qalandars bowlers under real pressure, and brought up a 50-run stand together.
Conway was simply outstanding. He kept finding the boundary and reached his first ever PSL fifty in style. He finished on 59 not out off just 35 balls, with 7 fours and 3 sixes. Faiq was just as impressive, scoring 34 off 19 balls with 6 fours. Together they took United home without any more fuss.

Lahore Qalandars were bowled out for 100 in 18.3 overs. It was a poor batting effort. United’s spinners were a nightmare to face.
Things went wrong right from ball two. Imad Wasim got Mohammad Naeem out for a first-ball duck. Just like that, Qalandars were rocking.
Haseebullah Khan and Abdullah Shafique tried to steady things. They added 26 runs together. But Imad struck again and sent Shafique back for 10. Qalandars were 27 for 2 at that point.
The wickets kept falling. Chris Green clean bowled Haseebullah for 19 at the end of the eighth over. On the very next over, captain Shadab Khan removed Rubin Hermann for just 4. Qalandars were in serious trouble at 41 for 4.
Asif Ali and Sikandar Raza tried to rebuild. They added 31 runs and took the score past 50. But Shadab broke that up too, getting Asif for 15. Debutant Ryan Burl came and went quickly, caught and bowled by Green for 2. Qalandars were 76 for 6 and running out of options.
