Lahore: (Web Desk) – In a dominant performance in HBL Pakistan Super League 11, Islamabad United defeated Rawalpindi by 7 wickets at the Gaddafi Stadium.
After winning the toss, Islamabad United opted to field first, restricting Rawalpindi to 156/7 in their 20 overs. Kamran Ghulam led the scoring with 50 runs, while Dian Forster contributed 44. Other contributions included Daryl Mitchell (19) and Abdullah Fazal (23).
For Islamabad United, Richard Gleeson, Faheem Ashraf, and Salman Irshad picked up two wickets each to keep the opposition in check.

Chasing 157, Islamabad United comfortably reached the target in just 15 overs, losing only 3 wickets. Sameer Minhas starred with a brilliant 70 off 36 balls, while Haider Ali remained unbeaten on 26 and Mark Chapman added an unbeaten 24. Muhammad Faiq also chipped in with 19 runs.
With this victory, Islamabad United registered their second win of the tournament. On the points table, Karachi Kings continue to lead with 6 points after winning all three of their matches, while Islamabad United sit second with 5 points, having won two matches, lost one, and had one match washed out due to rain.
