Islamabad(Mudassar Iqbal)-Islamabad has been placed under lockdown with containers blocking major roads and highways, causing traffic congestion and disruptions across the city. The measures are reportedly in place ahead of expected protests, with authorities taking steps to ensure public safety and security.
Key roads and intersections, including Margalla Road, Khanna Pul, and Faizabad, have been closed or partially closed, with containers placed to restrict access. GT Road has also been blocked at Sangjani, with traffic being diverted to alternative routes.
Residents are advised to plan accordingly and avoid travel unless necessary. Mobile data services have been suspended in the Sangjani area, and internet connectivity has been slowed down across the city.
