Islamabad-Islamabad Schools Closed Today Amid Security Concerns, All public and private schools in Islamabad will remain closed today, August 22, due to security concerns. The decision was made by the Deputy Commissioner of Islamabad, who prioritized the safety of children.

A meeting was held between the IG Islamabad, DC Islamabad, and representatives of law enforcement agencies to review the security situation. The meeting discussed various events that posed security concerns, including:

– A protest call by a religious party before the Supreme Court on August 22
– The presence of the Bangladesh cricket team in Islamabad
– The security of embassies in the city

Considering these factors, the IG Islamabad expressed concerns about issuing a No Objection Certificate (NOC) to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party under the current circumstances. The NOC, dated July 31, issued by the Deputy Commissioner, was also reviewed in the meeting.
