Islamabad Police Detain Lawyer Imaan Mazari

Islamabad-(Mudassar Iqbal): Islamabad police have taken lawyer Imaan Mazari into custody after an altercation with officers regarding roadblocks.

The incident occurred several days ago when Mazari allegedly removed barriers placed by law enforcement on a designated route.

A case has been registered at the Abpara police station, with charges including encroachment and obstruction. Mazari’s husband has also been named as a co-accused in the case.

Authorities indicate that this arrest and the associated charges are part of a broader initiative to tackle violations of public routes, and further investigations are currently ongoing.
