IG Islamabad Cancels Contracts of 29 Former Police Officers, Employees

ISLAMABAD: (Staff Reporter) –  Islamabad Inspector General of Police (IGP) Captain (retd) Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry has cancelled contracts awarded to former police officers and employees, according to sources.

Sources said several retired and former police officials had been serving at different positions on contractual appointments. Their contracts have now been terminated following the IGP’s decision.

All contractual employees working in the Islamabad Police’s Information Technology Department, including those serving as director and software engineering officials, have been sent home.

The contracts of a law officer, four former superintendents of police (SPs) and three former deputy superintendents of police (DSPs) have also been cancelled.

According to sources, contracts of a total of 29 former policemen and other employees have been terminated.

A notification regarding the cancellation of the contracts has also been issued.
