ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Inspector General (IG) Ali Nasir Rizvi has reaffirmed that there will be no compromise on the city’s security amidst the ongoing PTI protests.
Addressing the media at D-Chowk, IG Rizvi stated that law enforcement agencies were fully equipped to handle any attempts of disruption, with a comprehensive security plan in place to prevent any untoward incidents.
He assured that while there were some challenges, traffic flow had not been entirely disrupted, and efforts were underway to facilitate the movement of citizens.
Rizvi warned that those attempting to take the law into their own hands would face strict legal action, with charges filed under severe sections of the law.
The IG also confirmed that Section 144 has been imposed in the city, prohibiting protests, rallies, and sit-ins, and emphasized that violators would be dealt with harshly.

Highlighting the importance of public safety, Rizvi stressed that security measures were fully in place to protect both the lives and property of the residents.
