With this announcement, both August 13 and 14 will now be observed as holidays in the federal capital, allowing residents to enjoy two consecutive days off.

According to official sources, the Islamabad administration has issued a formal notification declaring August 13 as a local holiday for all public and private institutions in the city.

The decision aims to facilitate preparations and celebrations ahead of Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day, observed on August 14.
