Authorities allege that the attack was carried out by Indian-backed and Afghan Taliban-affiliated proxies of Fitna Al-Khawarij. Officials claim that this group has previously carried out similar attacks in Pakistan, including a recent assault on Wana Cadet College. The incident reflects ongoing concerns over cross-border terrorism and the involvement of proxy groups in targeting Pakistani institutions.

The Islamabad police and federal authorities are continuing their investigation to identify the network behind the attack and prevent further incidents.
