Islamabad Court Issues Production Order for Imran Khan
The court adjourned the hearing of PTI founder and Bushra Bibi’s bail until April 4th.
Islamabad: The District and Sessions Court of Islamabad, under Judge Taher Abbas Supra, has issued a production order for the founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
The court directed the Superintendent of Adiala Jail to bring the founder of PTI to court on April 4th.
The request for production from the PTI founder’s lawyers was previously submitted to the court.
Earlier, the same court postponed the hearing of fake receipt cases against PTI’s founder and Bushra Bibi until April 4th.
During the hearing, PTI’s lawyers appeared before Additional Sessions Judge Taher Abbas Supra.
Despite the court order, the PTI founder’s presence could not be ensured through a video link.
The officials of Adiala Jail submitted a written response and technical report to the court, stating that due to server down, the PTI founder’s presence through a video link was not possible.
The Superintendent of Adiala Jail informed the court that the matter of attendance through a video link is also under consideration in the Islamabad High Court.
Despite the court’s orders, the Deputy Superintendent of Adiala Jail did not personally appear.
