Islamabad bike M-Tags installation deadline officially extended
DG Excise Islamabad extends M-tag deadline to March 5; citizens urged to complete motorcycle tag installation promptly.
Islamabad – (Web Desk) – The Director General (DG) of Excise Islamabad, Irfan Memon, has announced that the deadline for installing M-tags on motorcycles has been extended until March 5. He urged all bike owners to ensure their vehicles are equipped with M-tags by this date.
In addition, due to the upcoming Ramadan, working hours at M-tag centers have been adjusted. Various centers will now operate on 24-hour, 12-hour, and 8-hour schedules, making it more convenient for citizens to complete the installation process, DG Memon added.
He said so far, a total of 8,928 M-tags has been installed on motorcycles.
In the last 24 hours, 2,069 M-tags were installed on bikes, DG Excise said.
Irfan Memon said a total of 238,080 vehicles have been issued tags so far.

He said citizens are requested to install M-tags on vehicles and motorcycles by all means.
Regarding M-tags, all possible resources are being utilized, DG Excise said.
