M-Tag Registration for Motorcycles Starts February 20 in Islamabad
ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Authorities in Islamabad have announced that M-Tag registration for motorcycles will officially begin from 10:00 am on February 20, marking the second phase of the capital’s vehicle tagging initiative.
The M-Tag installation drive for cars and other vehicles has already been underway, with more than 600,000 vehicles issued tags so far. Officials say the expansion to motorcycles is aimed at improving security, traffic monitoring, and overall public safety in the city.

Motorcycle owners can obtain their M-Tags from 13 designated registration points across Islamabad by presenting their vehicle documents along with a valid national identity card. The initiative applies to all categories of motorcycles, including regular bikes, Bykea motorcycles, heavy bikes, and other variants.
Authorities clarified that registration for Bykea and online taxi services is being managed separately under specific procedures. Residents have been encouraged to cooperate with officials and complete the registration process promptly to ensure safer and more secure travel within the federal capital.
