Ishaq Dar to Attend OIC, ICYF Events in Istanbul Next Week

Islamabad – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, received a telephone call from Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan on Sunday to discuss the escalating tensions in the Middle East following Israel’s recent aggression against Iran.

According to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, both leaders expressed serious concern and anguish over the deteriorating regional situation, condemning Israel’s unjustified attacks on Iran and underscoring the urgent need for restraint and diplomacy.

During the conversation, Senator Dar also confirmed his participation in the upcoming meeting of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM), scheduled to take place in Istanbul next week. Additionally, he will attend the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum (ICYF) ceremony, which will honour Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for his leadership and contribution to the Muslim world.

The high-level engagements are expected to focus on unity among Muslim nations in the face of growing regional instability and on strategies to address shared challenges through diplomatic and cooperative efforts.
