COLOMBO: Ireland set the highest total of the ICC T20 World Cup 2026 after scoring 235 runs for five wickets against Oman in their group match on Saturday.
Batting first, the Irish side piled up a formidable 235-5, handing Oman a daunting 236-run target — the biggest total recorded in the ongoing tournament.
Wicketkeeper-batter Lorcan Tucker led the charge with a superb 94-run knock, while Gareth Delany contributed 56 runs. George Dockrell provided a late flourish, smashing 35 runs off just nine balls, including five towering sixes.
