Tehran(Special Reporter);Iran’s Supreme Leader Vows Harsh Punishment for Israel, Supreme Leader of Iran Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has threatened Israel with “harsh punishment” following the murder of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran on Wednesday.
“The criminal and terrorist Zionist regime, by carrying out this act, had paved the way for a severe retribution against itself, and we take it upon ourselves to exact revenge for his blood since he was martyred in Iranian territory,” he said in a statement carried by IRNA news agency.
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian also pledged on Wednesday that Israel will be made to “regret” the “cowardly” killing of Hamas’ political leader named as Ismail Haniyeh which occurred in Tehran.

“Islamic Republic of Iran will safeguard its territorial integrity, pride and honor and humiliate these coward terrorists who have invaded our country”, Pezeshkian said on X while mourning Haniyeh as “a courageous guide”.
