Iranian Forces Allegedly Kill 260 Afghan Migrants at Border

Iran-(Special Correspondent): According to Haalvsh, an Iranian human rights organization, Iranian forces reportedly killed at least 260 Afghan migrants by opening fire near the Kalgan border crossing on Sunday evening.

Survivors described terrifying scenes, asserting that the Iranian military launched an attack on the group. Haalvsh stated that two survivors reported approximately 300 migrants attempting to cross the border when they came under fire, including being targeted with RPGs. The organization noted that many others sustained injuries in the assault.

“In the evening of Sunday, numerous Afghan migrants were ambushed by the military of the Islamic Republic near the Kalgan-Saravan border, facing direct gunfire and RPG attacks. A significant number were killed, and many more were hurt,” Haalvsh declared in a statement.

Images shared by survivors indicated that several migrants had been shot multiple times. Iranian officials have yet to respond to the incident.
