Iranian Embassy in Pakistan Denies False Social Media Claims on Visa and Border Procedures

“The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Pakistan is the only authorized and competent source for official comments,” the press release stated

ISLAMABAD (News Desk) – The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Pakistan has issued a press release firmly denying the circulation of false information on social media platforms regarding visa issuance procedures and individual visits to border crossings.

According to the Embassy, certain unofficial social media pages have attributed inaccurate statements to the Honourable Ambassador of Iran to Pakistan. The Embassy has clarified that such content is baseless and does not reflect any official position of the Iranian government.

The only formal statement on the matter was issued on July 26, 2025, following a tripartite coordination meeting in Tehran between the governments of Iran, Pakistan, and Iraq. The Embassy emphasized that this remains the sole valid reference for any official stance taken by Iran on related issues.

“The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Pakistan is the only authorized and competent source for official comments,” the press release stated, further underscoring that all legitimate statements are disseminated exclusively through the official communication channels and the Press Section of the Iranian Embassy in Islamabad.
