Islamabad — Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan, Reza Amiri Moghadam, has expressed profound gratitude to the government and people of Pakistan for their unwavering support during Iran’s recent conflict with Israel, which culminated in what he described as a “dignified and decisive victory” and the imposition of a just ceasefire.
In a statement shared on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Ambassador Moghadam hailed the solidarity shown by Pakistan during what he called an “unjust and imposed aggression by the Zionist regime against the brotherly, friendly, and Muslim nation of Iran.” He said Pakistan’s steadfast stance and support stood as a testament to deep-rooted ties between the two nations.
“I wish to extend my heartfelt appreciation to the government and people of Pakistan,” the ambassador wrote. “Pakistan stood resolutely and honorably beside us, demonstrating unwavering solidarity and support.”
Ambassador Moghadam extended special thanks to President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, as well as members of the National Assembly and Senate, religious scholars, political parties, and media outlets for their “principled and courageous positions.”
He also acknowledged the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan for consistently supporting Iran on international forums, including the United Nations, the UN Security Council, and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
