Iran Reports Calm After Brief Internal Tensions

ISLAMABAD (Mudassar Ch) – Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan Reza Amiri Moghadam has said that the internal situation in Iran has stabilised, with calm prevailing across the country from late Saturday night through Sunday afternoon. He stated that Tehran and other major cities remained largely peaceful, with no significant disturbances reported during this period.

The ambassador explained that temporary disruptions to internet services were implemented due to security concerns, including threats from terrorist elements and evidence of external interference. He emphasised that these measures were precautionary and aimed at maintaining public safety.

Reza Amiri Moghadam said the Iranian people have shown awareness and maturity by distancing themselves from rioters and extremist groups, recognising what he described as foreign-backed attempts to create instability. He added that, as in the past, Iran will overcome this phase through national unity, resilience and steadfastness.
