Iran rejects US negotiations, acknowledges Pakistan’s role in mediation efforts

Iran denies US talks as Pakistan works to ease tensions

Iran – (Web Desk) – Iran’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Reza Amiri Moqadam, said there have been no talks between Iran and the United States. He also said that former President Trump’s claims are not true, based on what he knows.

Speaking to the media, he made it clear that neither direct nor indirect discussions have taken place so far.

However, he shared that friendly countries like Pakistan are trying to help bring both sides closer. They want to create a path for future talks.

He said Iran respects these efforts and hopes they can help stop the conflict. According to him, many friendly nations are in contact with both sides to reduce tensions.

He added that these efforts do not mean talks have started yet. They are only trying to build a way for dialogue between Tehran and Washington.

He hoped that the efforts of Pakistan and other friendly countries would prove fruitful in ending this imposed war.

Iran’s powerful parliament speaker on Wednesday warned Washington not to test the Islamic republic’s determination to defend its territory after the United States was reported to be sending more troops to the Middle East.

“We are closely monitoring all US movements in the region, especially troop deployments. What the generals have broken, the soldiers can’t fix; instead, they will fall victim to (Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin) Netanyahu’s delusions,” said Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf in an X post in English.

“Do not test our resolve to defend our land.”
