Iran offers support as Pakistan battles deadly flood crisis
Iran assures full support to Pakistan as devastating monsoon floods claim hundreds of innocent lives.
Iran – Pakistan – (Special Correspondent / Web Desk) – Iran has pledged strong support to Pakistan as the country battles deadly monsoon floods that have already claimed nearly 800 lives.
The assurance was given by Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni during a phone call with his Pakistani counterpart Syed Mohsin Naqvi on Monday.
Momeni described Pakistan as a “brotherly neighbour” and said Tehran is ready to provide all possible assistance during this difficult time. He also extended heartfelt condolences over the tragic loss of lives caused by torrential rains and floods, particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Expressing deep sorrow, Momeni noted that Iran is “deeply grieved” by the widespread destruction and stands “shoulder to shoulder” with the people of Pakistan.
On his part, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi thanked his Iranian counterpart for the expression of solidarity and timely offer of assistance. He also reaffirmed the government’s commitment to relief operations and long-term rehabilitation of flood-affected communities.
