TEHRAN: (Web Desk) – In Tehran, Iranian authorities have confirmed that Esmail Khatib was killed in an Israeli strike, marking a significant escalation in ongoing regional tensions.
Iranian media reported that the intelligence chief lost his life in attacks carried out a day earlier, while Masoud Pezeshkian also confirmed the development, describing it as a major loss for the country.
Earlier, Israeli forces had stated that they had targeted the Iranian intelligence minister during a military operation, though further operational details were not disclosed.

Meanwhile, hostilities between Iran and Israel continue, with recent strikes also reported near the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant. Iranian officials said the facility remained secure despite projectiles landing in the vicinity, adding that no staff members were harmed.
Authorities further confirmed that the incident had been reported to the International Atomic Energy Agency as a precautionary measure.
