Iran Claims It Struck a US F-35 Stealth Fighter Jet
Iran Claims Second F-35 Shot Down as US Stays Silent
Iran – (Web Desk) – ran says it has shot down a second US F-35 fighter jet in central Iran. The claim comes from the semi-official Mehr News Agency. According to the report, the pilot likely did not survive due to serious injuries.
So far, the US military has not confirmed any of this.
If the claim turns out to be true, it would be a major blow to American air power. The F-35 is no ordinary jet. It can dodge radar and fly deep into heavily protected airspace. Even getting close enough to damage one is considered nearly impossible. So shooting one down would seriously challenge America’s image of total air dominance.
This is not the first time Iran has made such a claim. About two weeks ago, Iran said it hit a US F-35 during a combat mission. The US military confirmed the jet made an emergency landing but said the pilot was safe and the incident was under investigation. Two sources told CNN the aircraft was in fact damaged by Iranian fire.
Iran’s Revolutionary Guard even released a video. It showed what appeared to be a missile striking the jet mid-air. The Guard said their air defense system hit the F-35 at around 2:50 in the morning over central Iran.

America has also lost other aircraft in this war. Three F-15 jets were accidentally shot down by Kuwaiti air defenses. A refueling aircraft crashed in western Iraq and all crew members on board were killed.
The fighting is clearly taking a toll on both sides.
