TEHRAN: (Web Desk) – An Iranian army helicopter crashed into a busy fruit market on Tuesday in Khomeynishahr, located in Isfahan Province, killing four people, according to state media reports.
The aircraft, which belonged to the Iranian Army’s Air Force, went down due to what officials described as a “technical malfunction,” the state-run Islamic Republic News Agency reported. The victims included the pilot, co-pilot, and two fruit vendors who were present at the market when the helicopter crashed.

Iran has experienced multiple aviation incidents in recent years, with authorities frequently citing challenges in maintaining ageing aircraft fleets under international sanctions that restrict access to spare parts.
The latest incident follows another crash last week in Hamedan Province, where an Iranian fighter jet went down during a night training exercise, killing one of the two pilots on board.
