Interior Minister Issues Stern Warning Against PTI Rally
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has once again issued a warning regarding the PTI’s planned rally at D-Chowk, reminding the party that he had previously urged them to reconsider holding protests.
Naqvi emphasized that while every Pakistani has the right to rally and demonstrate, the way these protests are being organized is inappropriate. He reassured that the Islamabad police and administration would uphold their duties during this time.
Speaking to the media in Islamabad, Naqvi stated, “We cannot permit this, and the entire situation is clear for everyone to see.”
He highlighted the need to ensure that guests feel safe in the country, urging those planning the protest to rethink their decision. Naqvi also noted that, aside from the Superintendent of Police (SP), no other police officers would be armed.
The Interior Minister once again called on the PTI to postpone their protests for now.
