Information Minister Claims Internal Battle for PTI Control Amidst Growing Tensions
Islamabad: Federal Information Minister Atta Tarar has stated that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party is currently embroiled in a fierce struggle for control. He revealed that tensions are escalating between two factions within the party: one led by Aleema Khan and the other by Bushra Bibi.
During a press conference in Islamabad, Minister Tarar criticized members of PTI for fostering internal discord and division. He accused the party of being plagued by infighting and said that Aleema Khan has accused Bushra Bibi of spreading false information and attempting to take over the party.
According to Tarar, Aleema Khan has claimed that Bushra Bibi is creating a false narrative to garner sympathy and assert control over the party. He also mentioned that various misinformation cells are working to sow further discord within PTI.
The controversy intensified after leaked WhatsApp messages between Aleema Khan and Rauf Hassan surfaced, revealing a detailed account of a supposed incident involving Bushra Bibi and PTI’s founder. In these messages, Aleema Khan described Bushra Bibi’s actions as foolish and accused her of spreading misleading information. She advised Rauf Hassan not to publicize the messages and clarified that there was no such conversation with PTI’s founder.
