Islamabad-(Staff Reporter)-Federal Information Minister Ataullah Tarar held a press conference to share the outcomes of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s recent visit to Saudi Arabia and Qatar. The minister described the visit as “very successful,” highlighting the significant economic benefits Pakistan gained from the trip.

The Prime Minister has returned home after completing his successful visit, during which he met with Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman in a very pleasant atmosphere. This meeting led to the signing of 27 MoUs worth $2.2 billion, which has now increased to $2.8 billion with 34 MoUs ¹. Work has already begun on five of these MoUs, showcasing the swift progress being made.

Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have enjoyed decades of friendship, and Saudi Arabia has played a crucial role in supporting Pakistan’s economy. The additional investment of $600 million is expected to have a positive impact on Pakistan’s economy.

In Qatar, an exhibition was held to showcase Pakistani art from 1947 to the present. The event featured works by Pakistani artists and painters, and people from around the world appreciated the beauty of Pakistani art. The Information Minister expressed gratitude to the Emir of Qatar and his wife for organizing the exhibition.

Qatar has pledged to invest $3 billion in Pakistan, focusing on the energy, minerals, and IT sectors. This investment will further strengthen Pakistan’s economy. The minister noted that Pakistan’s economy is moving towards development, with inflation decreasing to 6.9%, record remittances, and reduced interest rates.

The government’s efforts have led to increased investments from friendly countries, and Pakistan has achieved a fiscal surplus after 24 years. The Prime Minister is paying full attention to security, and the government is committed to eradicating terrorism.

However, the Information Minister criticized the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, stating that it is non-serious and lacks focus on law and order and terrorist activities. He emphasized that the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are being deprived of their rights and that the Chief Minister is not qualified to run provincial affairs.

In conclusion, the Prime Minister’s visit to Saudi Arabia and Qatar has yielded significant economic benefits for Pakistan. The government remains committed to addressing security concerns and ensuring the well-being of its citizens.
